Manager, Finance
A multi-site healthcare company, supported by Private Equity, is in search of a Finance Manager to join their operational finance team. This addition to the team is driven by the company’s robust acquisition strategy, aiming to fortify support for its ongoing growth initiatives.
You will perform financial analysis to support operations and financial objectives; supports annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting production in the Solver forecasting system; analyze actuals vs. budget variances for operations, physician practices, and /or facilities (e.g. hospital and ASCs) segments; provide analysis and commentary in support of financial reporting packages for internal and external third parties.
Work environment: Can work 100% remote. Travel requirement less than ~10%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic and hands-on business partner, aiding Finance Leadership and operational leaders.
- Employ financial reporting and forecasting tools to support the creation of annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts for various business units and departments.
- Compile accurate and timely financial reporting packages for the Board of Directors, departmental heads, and operational leaders.
- Facilitate or assist in monthly meetings with various operational and functional leaders to review and discuss financial performance.
- Develop financial models and pro forma analyses to support informed decision-making, such as assessing the financial impact of new business acquisitions, services, or processes.
- Foster strong working relationships with business partners at all organizational levels.
- Communicate professionally and responsively with all employees and external parties, ensuring regular and consistent communication for effective decision-making.
- Uphold unwavering integrity, earning trust and respect across the organization, and prioritize honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior while maintaining confidentiality.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
Experience Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of experience in corporate finance or operations finance.
- Experience in healthcare services is highly desirable.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Proficient understanding of profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and inter-company financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting functions, including budgeting/forecasting, financial modeling, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to navigate complexity, working with others to gain clarity and alignment on goals/objectives.
- High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial forecasting tools (Solver).
Additional Requirements:
- Proactive self-starter capable of prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic, challenging, and complex environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
