Chief Executive Officer

I am working with a Private Equity-owned CO-based residential services company, focused primarily on plumbing and lateral line repair, that is seeking a CEO to help grow and expand operations. They are currently operating in a couple of regions of CO, but looking for a dynamic leader who has experience scaling similar businesses both organically as well as with a strong focus on acquisitions.

The ideal candidate would have CEO or P&L experience in a home service-related industry such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical services, or similar types of industries.

Job Summary

The CEO manages and directs the company towards its primary goals and objectives. The CEO is responsible for selecting, developing and managing a high-performing team that is capable of leading a fast-growing business. In partnership with the board, the CEO will establish a long-term strategic plan for growth, both organically and through acquisitions, and will develop the near and long-term goals and objectives for the team to execute against this strategy.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

  • Works with the board and other executives to establish short-term objectives and long-range goals, and related plans and policies.
  • Create visibility on performance against these strategic objectives including operational and financial KPI
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring best-in-class operational excellence and a focus on safety
  • Manage and lead a team overseeing all functional areas of the business. Develop a leadership team capable of scaling the business to $100M+ in revenue.
  • Establish annual budgets for spend / performance, including investments in agreed-upon growth initiatives, and execute plans to deliver results that meet or exceed expectations
  • Create a culture/workplace that supports employees and leads to low turnover / high retention
  • Define the strategy, together with the board, for acquisitions. Which profile, size, geographies, services, etc. Play a leading role, together with the board / PE sponsor, in cultivating acquisition targets, executing on transactions and integrating successfully.


  • 10 years of experience as an accomplished senior manager with a career showing steadily increasing responsibilities. Strong preference for prior CEO or P&L experience.
  • Great management and organizational skills including a track record for attracting the right people and developing a cohesive culture that fosters teamwork and efficiency.
  • Experience with acquisitions, preferably a history of leading the identification, execution, and integration of add-on acquisitions
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred.
