Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the import/export process for shipments, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and customs requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient transportation of goods.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Arrange transportation, book cargo space, and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize cost-effectiveness and delivery timelines.
• Monitor and track shipments throughout the transportation process, providing regular updates to clients and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
• Handle customs clearance procedures, including tariff classification, valuation, and duty calculation, to ensure timely clearance of goods.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other service providers to expedite customs clearance and delivery of shipments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all import/export activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

Experience/Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in import/export operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities, able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
