Our client is a leading international freight forwarding and cargo logistics company, providing comprehensive door-to-door services customized to meet our customers’ unique needs. They seek a dynamic and experienced Import/Export Specialist to join their team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the import/export process for shipments, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and customs protocols.
- Facilitate effective communication among clients, carriers, and stakeholders to streamline transportation operations.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements, securing cargo space and negotiating rates with carriers to optimize efficiency and delivery schedules.
- Track and monitor shipments throughout their journey, providing regular updates to clients and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Manage customs clearance procedures, including tariff classification, valuation, and duty calculation, to ensure timely release of goods.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and service providers to expedite customs clearance and delivery.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all import/export activities, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues to uphold customer satisfaction.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in import/export operations within the freight forwarding or logistics sector.
- Profound knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational and multitasking capabilities, adept at prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting.

Experience/Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in import/export operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
