Regional Director of Operations

SUMMARY: The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the overall performance and operational aspects of a team of Regional Managers in the Sacramento Territory to ensure the Office Managers and their teams provide our patients with an exceptional and remarkable experience. The Regional Director of Operations will work closely with the Regional Managers and Office Managers to ensure all clinical operations function with excellence, efficiency and perform to exceptional standards and consistently ensure the Company vision is attained, the core values and operating principles are upheld, and a dynamic environment is created.

Ensure EVERY patient has an exceptional and remarkable experience EVERY time they interact with an office. Every patient should be greeted warmly, energetically and with enthusiasm that is carried throughout their visit and at each interaction with our offices and our employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of 2-3 Regional Managers and their practice locations to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Collaborate with Office Managers to uphold high operational and human resource standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Regional Managers and Office Managers to build high-performing teams.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Regional and Office Managers, and perform quarterly reviews.
  • Coordinate with Regional and Office Managers to align with marketing campaigns from the Marketing Team.
  • Ensure accurate coding and billing entries in the Dental Practice Management Software (DPMS).
  • Monitor patient and staff satisfaction within the region, ensuring contentment among Doctors and Staff.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of team members, creating comprehensive Staff Training and Development plans with Office Managers.
  • Drive innovation and share best practices to enhance organizational processes.
  • Implement standardization initiatives in the DPMS to maintain consistency across all offices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, state laws, and procedures across all offices.
  • Set and monitor measurable outcomes related to patient service, operational performance, and team health.
  • Establish a communication process for team performance, linking it to Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to set KPIs and communicate performance to the VP of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Manage regional office budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Maintain organizational standards of patient care and proactively address any deviations.
  • Conduct regular spot checks, inspections, and audits of each practice and team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee designated Regional Managers, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. All programs and staff ultimately report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of regional management experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties outlined will be considered.
