We are partnering with a Private Equity backed home service company looking for a Chief Financial Officer.
The CFO will be a key player in shaping the company’s financial direction, with a focus on supporting the growth of the company’s portfolio, both through means of organic account generation and in-organic portfolio acquisition opportunities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies, conducting in-depth financial analysis for organic growth strategies and potential acquisitions, and ensuring financial reporting and compliance
The CFO will act as a key thought partner to the CEO, the board, and other members of the executive team.

The CFO will oversee all financial and control operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to the board, lenders, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include planning and analysis, accounting, internal controls, financial policy development, budgeting, modeling, audit, tax, strategic investment, mergers and acquisitions, credit, compliance, and business systems integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CEO to grow sales, EBITDA, and profits in line with the annual fiscal budget.
- Maximize enterprise value by structuring the company effectively and supporting the exit strategy.
- Act as a strategic thought partner, delving into details and providing recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Provide comprehensive reporting, analytics, and financial support for day-to-day operations and strategic objectives.
- Manage the financial processes surrounding acquisitions and ensure seamless integration.
- Support the board and private equity sponsor with relevant financial insights and strategies.
- Serve as the primary contact with lenders, managing the requirements of operating in a leveraged environment.
- Oversee the company’s cash flow in compliance with loan terms.
- Lead legal, tax, and regulatory matters for the company.
Critical Success Factors:
- Develop strong relationships with the CEO, senior team, suppliers, and PE firm, establishing a visible and positive presence. Become a trusted business partner to the CEO and PE sponsor.
- Drive business results by identifying opportunities, trends, potential issues, shortfalls, and risks, acting as a proactive and value-added leader.
- Support and execute the company’s acquisition strategy, including the integration and optimization of acquisitions.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to tackle large challenges in a Private Equity turnaround environment.
- Create excellent financial presentations and KPI dashboards, effectively presenting the business to employees and potential buyers.
Qualifications:
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA and/or MBA is desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance.
- Proven track record as a VP of Finance or CFO in a PE-owned business.
- Successful experience in leading and executing acquisitions.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize costs and efficiently manage account creation costs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies, conducting in-depth financial analysis for organic growth strategies and potential acquisitions, and ensuring financial reporting and compliance
The CFO will act as a key thought partner to the CEO, the board, and other members of the executive team.
CFO will assume overall leadership of the day-to-day financial and control operations of the company, including accurate and timely financial reporting to the board, lenders, and internal constituents, planning and analysis, accounting, internal controls, financial policy development, budgeting and modeling, audit, tax, strategic investment, merger & acquisitions, credit, compliance, and integration of business systems.
Additionally, specific responsibilities of the CFO include:
- Support CEO to grow sales, EBITDA and profits in line with annual fiscal budget
- Maximize enterprise value by structuring company appropriately and eventually helping exit the investment
- Serve as thought partner, roll up the sleeves to get into the details, and provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
- Provide reporting, analytics and financial support for day-to-day and strategic goals
- Drive the financial processes around acquisitions and ensure the smooth integration
- Support the board / private equity sponsor
- Act as primary contact with lender and manage requirements of operating in leveraged environment
- Manage the cash flow of the business in compliance with loan terms.
- Act as primary legal, tax and regulatory lead for company

- Develop a strong rapport and trust with the CEO, its senior team, suppliers and PE firm; establishing a visible and positive presence. Become a valued business partner to the CEO and PE sponsor.
- Drive business results by identifying opportunities and trends, as well as potential issues, short-falls, and risks — serving as a vocal sounding board and value-added leader.
- Help drive and execute the company’s acquisition strategy (as well as any potential divestments), including the integration and optimization of bolt-ons.
- Energized to tackle large challenges and drive them to resolution. Private Equity, turnaround environment that requires a strong work ethic and willingness to get your hands dirty.
- Ability to create excellent financial presentations and KPI Dashboards as well as the ability to present the business, from employees to potential buyers.
Qualifications
- M&A experience is a plus
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- CPA is a plus, MBA is desirable
- 10+ years of experience
- Successful track record serving as a VP of Finance or CFO for a PE-owned business.
- Successful track record of leading and executing acquisitions.
- Demonstrated track record of cost optimization and ability to monitor and drive efficient account creation costs
- The role also requires excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach
