Reports to: Director of Operations
Position Summary:
Responsible for plant operation. Direct plant policies and procedures. Responsible for plant production goals. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff. Independently manage all aspects of a production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate plant operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure seamless production processes for optimal efficiency.
- Oversee and enhance our safety program to foster a secure environment for our team members.
- Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to implement and direct continuous process improvement strategies.
- Take charge of achieving plant production goals and monitor output and efficiencies using KPIs to ensure profitability.
- Supervise product specifications and oversee all incoming and outgoing activities to guarantee accuracy and completeness of shipments.
- Manage materials and supplies to meet production and operational metrics.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of purchasing, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and ensure the proper operation of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as DOT, OSHA, EPA, Tier II, Fire regulations, etc.
- Cultivate a well-trained and motivated staff through effective leadership and mentorship.
- Conduct regular employee performance reviews and schedule plant meetings to address operational needs.
- Champion the production of high-quality products from the source.
- Attend corporate training sessions and meetings to stay abreast of industry developments.
- Remain knowledgeable about company personnel-related guidelines and policies, ensuring adherence.
- Ensure fair and equitable administration of all policies and guidelines.
- Schedule and conduct daily and weekly toolbox talks to promote safety awareness and teamwork.
- Perform any other duties as required to ensure operational success.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for training, leading, and motivating a team of hourly fabrication and assembly employees.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt level preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated ability to grow and develop a team.
- 5-7 years of significant manufacturing experience, including supervisory roles.
- Proficiency in pump systems, mechanical skills, fabrication processes, welding, 12V electrical systems, and truck equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
- Ensure production runs smoothly.
- Oversees and continually improves our safety program to ensure a safe environment for team members.
- Drives continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs.
- Directs continuous process improvement initiatives with team members.
- Responsible for plant production goals.
- Keeps track of output and efficiencies using KPI’s to keep the team on track and profitable.
- Oversee specifications of product manufactured / assembled.
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Manage materials and supplies to ensure production and operational metrics can be met.
- Confer with other departments to ensure coordination of purchasing, shipping, receiving and other departments as needed.
- Manage physical count of inventory.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, Tier II, Fire, etc. and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.

- Responsible for producing high quality product the first time and at the source.
- Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.

- Schedule and conduct daily and weekly toolbox talks.
- Performs other duties as required.
