Project Manager – Integration and Transformation
This position is with a private equity backed, global parts and supply chain solutions provider. It will help execute this group’s fast-paced acquisitions’ integrations.
Geography – This role is ideally located in Los Angeles and will require in office work.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio & Program Management: Oversee governance, cross-project planning, coordination, providing steering visibility, and serving as a point of escalation. Manage multiple projects and ensure swift execution.
- Project Resource Management: Handle capacity planning, recruit and interview project managers, manage performance, and provide onboarding and coaching.
- M&A Project Management: Coordinate and manage integration planning and execution for mergers and acquisitions.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage invoice processing, tool utilization, and reporting.
- Acquisition Strategy Support: Create and execute detailed integration plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and success metrics, to support the company’s acquisition strategy.
- Knowledge Sharing: Document and communicate key lessons, both positive and negative, from acquisition integrations, system implementations, and other critical growth initiatives to the executive management team.
- Project Assistance: Assist with prioritizing, scoping, resourcing, and executing SBU-level projects.
Qualifications/Education/Credentials
- Experience: 1-2 years in project, program, integration management, or acquisition execution.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Project Planning: Experience in developing workplans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to aid in project planning and execution.
- Innovation & Risk-Taking: Ability to promote innovative ideas and take necessary risks to lead change.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with minimal supervision.
- Decision-Making: Ability to make independent decisions and assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and financial skills.
- Consultative Skills: Effective consultative and influencing skills.
- Change Implementation: Ability to implement change swiftly.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
