• Overview:
  This pivotal role involves comprehensive oversight of all accounting functions, ensuring precise, timely, and accurate reporting of the company’s results. The primary goal is to provide in-depth analysis of performance against forecasts and budgets. The incumbent will supervise revenue recognition and manage day-to-day treasury functions, including daily cash reporting, weekly cash flow forecasts, and overseeing cash movements.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the preparation of month-end financial reports.
    • Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
    • Create annual and long-term budgets.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and meet all deadlines.

  • Accounting Operations Management:

    • Oversee the accounting team, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions.
    • Enhance working capital through effective management of inventory, receivables, and payables.

  • Asset Protection:

    • Safeguard company assets by accurately monitoring and recording financial results.
    • Ensure monthly account reconciliations are completed.

  • Team Development:

    • Build a highly skilled accounting department by developing existing staff and onboarding new talent.
    • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through coaching, performance evaluation, and feedback.

  • Audit and Tax Coordination:

    • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to achieve a ‘clean’ audit opinion within set timelines and budget constraints.
    • Handle all tax-related matters efficiently.

  • Process Enhancement:

    • Review and improve current processes to establish effective internal controls and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Policy Enforcement:

    • Implement and uphold accounting policies and procedures.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Over ten years of relevant experience in business services.
  • Experience in Private Equity is a plus.
  • CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of accounting practices, with a focus on GAAP compliance.
  • Deep financial expertise, including financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
  • Experience in Public Accounting is an advantage.

5. Collaborate with external auditors and tax specialists to secure a ‘clean’ opinion within the defined timeframe and budget. Address all related tax matters appropriately.
6. Evaluate existing processes to identify and implement improvements, ensuring the establishment of suitable internal controls.
7. Direct, implement, and execute accounting policies and practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Over ten years of relevant business services experience.
• Previous experience in Private Equity is preferred.
• CPA certification highly desirable.
• Technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices, particularly in ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Financial knowledge and a deep understanding of key financial measures and accounting methods, emphasizing financial analysis, accurate forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
• Prior experience in Public Accounting is advantageous.
