Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the CTO, Presidents, and Operational Leaders to ensure an effective HSE, Quality, and Radiation Safety Program for all Field and Office operations.
• Manage and oversee the planning, organization, direction, coordination, and control of the Safety Program and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality programs, standardizing procedures and forms in alignment with regulatory, client, and internal requirements.
• Lead, train, and improve the team of CNC machinists and programmers, striving for best-in-class performance.
• Support the transfer of new products and technologies, site launches, NPI processes, and engineering changes.
• Conduct studies and analyze changes needed to achieve required manufacturing/site KPIs.
• Develop and maintain standardized KPIs on quality assurance, radiation safety, and HSE programs, providing metrics for reporting purposes.
• Lead an effective organizational HSE, quality, and Radiation Safety training program, including onboarding and orientation.
• Manage claims and ensure proactive involvement in injury reduction, accident prevention, and reduction in lost time claims.
• Stay informed about new processes or technologies and make recommendations for potential opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
• Enforce company policies, safe work practices, and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Recruit, select, orient, and train employees in compliance with company policy.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results in partnership with human resources.
• Train, mentor, and supervise subordinate safety and radiation safety staff.

Education and Work Experience:

• 10+ years of related HSE experience.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of progressive supervisory work experience preferred.
• 5+ years of related radiation safety experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9000, ASME NQA-1, and NRC; 10 CFR 50 quality programs preferred.
• Experience in using customer web-based pre-qualification systems.
• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Professional Certifications, such as the CSP, and/or CIH would be a plus.
• OSHA Outreach Trainer credentials a plus.
• Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Business partner with the CTO, Presidents, and Operational Leaders for each of the regions, to ensure an effective HSE, Quality, and Radiation Safety Program for all Field and Office operations.
• Manage and oversee the planning, organization, direction, coordination, and control of the Safety Program and procedures ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
• Develop, organize, implement, track, and maintain the Quality programs including standardization of all Quality programs, procedures, and forms, as applicable, in line with regulatory, client, and internal requirements (leveraging technology where possible). This includes but is not limited to drafting, reviewing, and approving the standardization of field forms, quality manuals, and specific procedures.
• Manage and oversee the Quality, HSE, and Radiation Safety departmental staff for the USA; ensure support, effectiveness, direction, guidance, and utilization of HSE, Quality, and Radiation Safety staff to properly support all operational units.
• Develop, organize, implement, communicate, and maintain the HSE program including HSE Handbooks, Safe Work Practices, Safety Initiative’s, Safety Campaigns and other HSE Policies to ensure compliance with all legislative and company requirements aimed at employee safety.
• Manage, track, and lead the overall program for the training and qualification of NDE staff including but not limited to training curriculums, outsourced training programs, certifications, operator qualification, and other customer defined qualifications.
• Identify and investigate problems, initiate solutions, complete applicable client and internal reports, and verify corrective measures and actions if an HSE, quality or radiation safety issue is reported; report all safety, quality and radiation safety non-compliances and corrective actions to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Develop and maintain standardized KPI’s on quality assurance, radiation safety, and HSE programs, providing metrics in each business unit for reporting purposes; thus, taking the pulse of the company’s quality, HSE and radiation safety performance. This will be reported to Senior Leadership on a regular basis.
• Develop and maintain a high level of understanding to properly interpret Agreement State and U.S. NRC regulations, procedures, forms, and guidance publications.
• Effectively prepare and present information and respond to HSE, quality and radiation safety related questions, data requests or concerns from employees, managers, clients, and regulatory agencies; develop routine communication campaigns.
• Ensure that all company policies are being followed and enforced at all times; this includes but is not limited to HSE, Quality and Radiation Safety audits, forms, investigations are being performed, reviewed and are in compliance with legislative and company requirements.
• Lead all aspects of an effective organizational HSE, quality and Radiation Safety training program including proper staff onboarding, new orientation, and training programs.
• Lead in the development, maintenance and communication of the Quality and Procedures manual which provide policies, procedures and practices which addresses legislative requirements including ITAR, EAR, DFARS.
• Manage with claims management – ensure proactive involvement in injury reduction, accident prevention, and reduction in lost time claims, ensuring that all required communications and training is provided to both employees and managers.
• Stay aware of new processes or technologies and make recommendations to Senior Management for potential opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
• Follow and enforce Company policies, safe work practices and procedures at all times.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally.
• Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

  Train, mentor, supervise subordinate safety and radiation safety staff and advise other personnel as needed to maintain compliance.
• Review, validate, and approve reporting employees’ timesheet and reports.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent work experience
• 10 + years of progressive supervisory work experience preferred.
• 5+ years of related radiation safety preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9000, ASME NQA-1, and NRC; 10 CFR 50 quality programs preferred.
• Experience in using customer web-based pre-qualifications systems such as IsNetWorld, Veriforce, PEC, PIC, TransAdvisor, BROWZ, and other web-based systems used in training.
  Six sigma black belt preferred.
